Filmmaking means creating emotions with images, and it is the highest art if you don’t even really notice what the images are doing to you. The narrowness that Audrey Diwan creates in “The Event”, the radicalism with which she shows what her protagonist Anne (Anamaria Vartolomei) is going through – that is special and impressive and virtuoso.
