French Cup. The crazy and mischievous gesture of the Valenciennes goalkeeper during the penalty shootout

This is one of the images from this Coupe de France quarter-final. During the penalty shootout which would decide who from FC Rouen or Valenciennes FC would validate their ticket for the last four (1-1, 2-4 tab in the end), the goalkeeper of the northern club, Jean Louchet, threw the flask of his Rouen counterpart on which there were notes on the opposing shooters.

The two goalkeepers know each other

At the beIN Sports microphone, the former Herbiers goalkeeper returned to this unusual and amusing gesture. “You have eyes everywhere (laughs), he reacted after the match. We were together at PSG, I know him very well, I knew he had a bottle. I took it out twice, but they put it back in, they gave it back…”

Which did not prevent Valenciennes FC from validating their ticket for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, a first in 54 years, notably thanks to the two saves by their goalkeeper during the session. The whimsical Léonard Aggoune and his teammates, on the other hand, did not do it again, they who had successively taken out Toulouse FC, title holders, and AS Monaco on penalties during the previous rounds.
