Freeze Corleone’s concert at the Zénith on Saturday canceled by the police headquarters

The fans can’t believe it… On Tuesday, the Paris police headquarters announced that they were canceling the concert by rapper Freeze Corleone scheduled for Saturday, November 25 at the Zénith de Paris-La Villette. He was also scheduled to participate in the 667 collective concert the day before. This participation is also prohibited.

To justify this ban, the Paris police headquarters put forward, in a press release, the fear of “serious disturbances to public order” in “a particularly tense geopolitical context”. According to this same press release which describes the singer as “particularly controversial”, “the texts and his musical productions contain numerous conspiratorial and anti-Semitic references”.

A “particularly tense geopolitical context”

The police headquarters cites as examples several compositions such as Red Stickin which Freeze Corleone sings “I arrive determined like Adolf in the 30s”, “RAF of the Shoah”, in So Congo or even “I prefer to be accused of anti-Semitism than of rape like Gérald Darmanin”, in Shavkat.

The police headquarters also puts forward a “particularly tense geopolitical context following the large-scale terrorist attack launched by Hamas on October 7, 2023” and “the evolution of the situation, in particular the counter-offensive on the Gaza Strip and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation are likely to amplify demands and protests, to radicalize the pro-Palestinian movement on public roads”, to justify the ban.

The prefecture fears that “disturbances to public order may occur and that anti-Semitic remarks, or more generally knowingly and explicitly stirring up hatred, whether directed towards Jews, police officers or society more generally, are made “the occasion of the performances of M.Diakhate on the aforementioned dates”.
