The city of Graz vaccination center offers a special offer as part of the annual school vaccination campaign. The HP virus causes numerous diseases that primarily affect women. It is important that both women and men get vaccinated, ideally before the first sexual contact. “The HPV vaccination offers effective protection and minimizes the risk of developing cervical cancer. The health department brings the vaccination directly to the students and we are happy if the offer is widely accepted“says City Councilor for Health Robert Krotzer (KPÖ).

The last opportunity for a free HPV vaccination (1st partial vaccination) is one day before your 21st birthday! If someone has already received a partial HPV vaccination, the second partial vaccination is also possible, provided the time interval is suitable (the second partial vaccination takes place 6 months after the first).

Process:

  • Information letters from the health department are sent to schools by email.
  • The schools send the information to the parents via schoolfox, including a parent letter.
  • One week before the appointment, each school will receive another appointment reminder.

A minimum interval of 14 days from the Covid-19 vaccination must be observed. Please bring your e-card and vaccination certificate; wearing an FFP2 mask is recommended.

From January to March, more than 35 school locations are visited. For more information, please contact your school or the
