Frédéric Michalak joins Racing 92 as coach

Goodbye Toulon, hello Nanterre. Current consultant to the RCT, Frédéric Michalak will lead the Racing 92 attack next season, the club announced on Thursday in a press release. The former opener of the XV of France (40 years old, 77 selections) will replace the Englishman Rory Teague, who arrived last summer.

Michalak, who has signed up until 2026, joins the staff of another Englishman, Stuart Lancaster, who will succeed current coach Laurent Travers, in office since 2013. Travers will take a step back to become chairman of the board of directors of the Hauts-de-Seine club.

Reunions with former teammates

The top scorer in the history of the Blues (436 points), notably passed through Toulouse, Toulon and Lyon, will find his former partners in the France team, Yannick Nyanga and Dimitri Szarzewski, respectively coach of the Espoirs and assistant in charge of defense.
