Window cleaners are stuck in a broken gondola for an hour – on the 33rd floor

A “technical defect” put two workers in Frankfurt am Main in an extremely awkward situation. Finally, height rescuers from the fire department intervened.

Two workers got out of a stuck situation on Monday Gondola on a Frankfurt high-rise building saved. Due to a technical defect, the gondola was hanging at the height of the 33rd floor and could no longer be moved, as the fire department announced.

Gondola hung on the “One” skyscraper in Frankfurt am Main

After around an hour, the two window cleaners were freed from their situation by the height rescue team using a ladder. They were uninjured, but one of the men had to be treated medically for circulatory problems. The fire department explained that the ropes on which the gondola was hanging had come loose from the safety rails.

The gondola was hanging on the “One” high-rise building on Brussels Street in Frankfurt’s European Quarter. The fire department was alerted at around 12:20 p.m. and the two men were rescued around an hour later.
