As things stand at present, the Frankfurt Book Fair can receive 25,000 participants a day in October. “We have a special permit for the implementation,” announced the book fair on Wednesday. The maximum permissible number of visitors applies “taking into account the existing hygiene concept” and “according to the current state of planning”. According to the current status, the 3G regulation applies: Entry is only for vaccinated and convalescent people, all others need a current negative test. Tickets must be booked online to ensure contact tracking. The hygiene concept also included “100 percent fresh air supply in the interior, spacious design of halls and entrances, intensive cleaning measures, a hygiene-adapted catering concept as well as wearing mouth and nose protection”. According to the organizers, publishers, companies and agencies from more than 60 countries have registered for the 73rd Frankfurt Book Fair from October 20 to 24.
