A gruesome discovery is made in a park in north-east Paris: dismembered body parts of a woman. After his arrest, the husband now confesses to the crime and justifies his actions.

After the dismembered body of a woman was found in a Paris park, the husband admitted to the crime. After his confession, the man should be brought before a magistrate, the newspaper “Le Parisien” and the broadcaster France Info reported, citing the judiciary.

The man is said to have justified the act with years of arguments in the family. The body parts were discovered in mid-February in the popular Buttes-Chaumont park in north-east Paris. It was a 46-year-old woman who had been reported missing by her husband on February 6.

When questioned by the police, the man got caught up in contradictions and was arrested. The investigators found no evidence on surveillance cameras that the woman had left the apartment building at the specified time, nor that the man had started a search operation as he had claimed. The alleged numerous calls to locate his wife did not exist. The couple have three children aged 8, 14 and 16.
