- Israeli army confirms bombing of Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza. The explosions in the enclave’s largest camp, where 116,000 people live, killed at least 50 people, according to Hamas. The IDF claims to have killed a commander of the Islamist movement there.
- Israel says it intercepted surface-to-surface missile launched from Red Sea region. Houthi rebels in Yemen claim to have launched drones towards Israel.
- Israel counted 240 hostages and deplored the deaths of 350 soldiers. These hostages are not all Israeli citizens, which complicates their identification, declared an Israeli army spokesperson.
- For the United Nations, the Gaza Strip has become “a cemetery for thousands of children”. Reiterating his condemnation of the Hamas attacks of October 7 and his demand for the release of the hostages, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, ” sentenced “ also the death of “civilians in Gaza” – the Israeli response is said to have killed more than 8,500 people, including more than 3,500 children, according to the Islamist movement.

- Hamas announces that it will release foreign hostages. Abou Obeida, the spokesperson for Hamas’ military wing, said Tuesday that the Islamist movement would liberate “in the coming days” foreign hostages among those he has held in Gaza since his attack on Israeli territory on October 7.
- Pro-Iranian groups cannot “remain silent” facing the conflict, according to Tehran. During a visit to Qatar, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the head of Iranian diplomacy, sent a warning to Israel’s allies, while attacks by groups supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran are increasing in Iraq and in Syria against Israel and its American ally.
- Anti-Semitic acts in France: Elisabeth Borne condemns “despicable actions”.
