Even three days after the disappearance of two-year-old Émile, there is still no trace of the boy in France. Large-scale searches were unsuccessful.

The picture of little Émile is on the front page of French newspapers and is in all of them News – but there is still no trace of the two and a half year old who disappeared in a mountain village. “Little Émile was not found,” prosecutor Rémy Avon said on Tuesday, three days after the boy’s disappearance, whose fate many in the country fear.

France: The boy was on vacation with his grandparents

At the moment there is no indication or clue as to where the child could be, although a search was made with enormous effort and support from the entire village and over 100 volunteers.

There is nothing more than the statements of two witnesses who saw the boy walking down a street in the small town of Le Vernet in southern France. The boy was there with his grandparents on vacation when they lost sight of him on Saturday evening. Since then, 12 hectares of land have been combed, all 30 houses in the village searched, 25 people questioned and 12 cars inspected – without any result. The prosecutor emphasized that the search for even the slightest trace would continue.
