The morning was agitated this Wednesday in front of the school city of Saint-Nazaire. As in other cities in France, high school students organized
the blockade of their establishment to request that the bac be fully validated via the continuous assessment, due to the health crisis. According to the police, there were some 200 demonstrators, including about thirty “very virulent” individuals. Representatives of the CGT and former “yellow vests” were also on the scene, according to the same source.

Shortly after 9 a.m., a tense face-to-face with projectile throws began. Despite police reinforcements arrived from Nantes, the clashes continued and four police officers were injured, one of them having been hit in the temple by a “stone throw”, details the police. Two people were arrested: an 18-year-old girl and a 38-year-old woman, suspected of having kicked a police officer. The situation calmed down around 1 p.m.

In Nantes, only the Guist’hau high school, in the city center, was blocked in the morning, according to the rectorate.
