There’s an opinion that they don’t talk much up there in East Friesland. Marco Hinderks confirms this picture. The 39-year-old from Krummhörn doesn’t say many words on the phone. But that suddenly changes when he puts the V word in his mouth: “There is nothing better than the four-day week”. Hinderks is now really enthusiastic. For years he worked for a company that worked 60 hours a week, “I didn’t know anything else”. Now Hinderks works at “Hilbert Hoogestraat and Son”. And they shortened the working week to four days six months ago. What a luxury, he thinks.
