Pop icon Elton John announced on Tuesday in
a story published on Instagram to have tested positive for Covid-19 and to cancel two concerts planned in Dallas, in the south of the United States, as part of his farewell world tour.
“I have contracted the Covid and therefore have to reschedule my concerts in Dallas”, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, wrote the 74-year-old singer.
“Fortunately, I am vaccinated”
“Fortunately, I am vaccinated and received a booster, and my symptoms are mild. So I’m confident I’ll be able to do my gig” on Saturday in North Little Rock, Arkansas, added Sir Elton John.
“It is always a huge disappointment to postpone concerts (…), but I want to ensure my safety as well as that of my team”, he explained.
The two Dallas concerts will be rescheduled and ticket holders will be contacted very quickly, concludes the interpreter of Candle in the Wind.
