Chapter 4 Season 4 begins today in Fortnite. After the update, the new map awaits fans with many fresh locations and changes.
Cary, North Carolina – For fans of Fortnite, every start of a new season is a bit like Christmas. Epic Games brings a torrent of new content to Battle Royale players every few months, from a new Battle Pass to fresh and revamped weapons to major map changes. The new map of Chapter 4 Season 4 in Fortnite is already known and seems to replace a few long-established points of interest (POIs) on the island.

Fortnite: Chapter 4 Season 4 Map – This is how the island changes in the new season
This is the new map: After numerous speculations about the new Fortnite Season 4 map in the past few days, there are now the first tangible insights into the new island. Fortnite insider ShiinaBR shared a full picture of the Season 4 map on Twitter. As with every season, some things stay the same, but there are also some radical changes. Here you can see the new map:
This is new on the map: The established biomes from previous Fortnite Chapter 4 seasons will actually change relatively little in the new season. In the northeast it remains snowy, in the northwest there are still the autumn forests, in the south the Japanese biome of Mega City and also the jungle in the middle of the map from last season remains.
But there are at least three completely new POIs in the new map of Season 4. Two of them will replace older locations, and a new location in the southwest will also expand the map. In keeping with the teased Fortnite Season 4 heist theme, these appear to be state-of-the-art mansions and homes that are likely to be heavily guarded. You should be able to find particularly good loot there in well-hidden vaults.

All POIs in Season 4: It should be particularly surprising that with Season 4 the citadel will disappear from the Fortnite map. The fortress in the northwest of the island had remained unchanged since the start of Chapter 4. However, one of the new bases will now replace the citadel.
