A new series of events for young people will start in Forstinning on Friday. The first “Open Youth Meeting” takes place from 5 to 8 pm in the “Culture Club” at Aicherstraße 8, right on the hard court. All young people from the age of twelve are welcome in the youth rooms. Further dates this year are October 29th, November 5th and 19th and December 3rd and 17th. Non-alcoholic welcome cocktails are planned, music will be played, a small campaign is also planned, as Mathias Weigl, the social contact for Forstinning and Forstern, explained at the beginning of the week. “We are trying to bring life back to youth work,” said Weigl.
Because of the pandemic, there was also little scope for youth clubs here recently. They now want to “listen to the kids what they want to do”. There is already a foosball box in the rooms, but he assumes “that we will buy one or the other”, says Weigl. After a few test runs in the summer, he is now in good spirits, also with regard to the hygiene concept. “It’s time for something to happen again,” said Weigl. Exactly what action will take place on Friday evening will still be discussed. But, says Weigl, “we’ll come up with some kind of gag”.
