Forstenried: Photovoltaic system on flowering meadow – Munich

A photovoltaic system of around 420 square meters is to be erected on an open space not far from the Stäblibad in Forstenried. Provided that the solar collectors are legally permissible, the majority of the district committee (BA) Thalkirchen-Obersendling-Forstenried-Fürstenried-Solln does not want to raise any objections to the project. Although it is in a fresh air corridor, it is “not oversized”. The monument ensemble “Ortskern Forstenried” will also not be affected. However, the south-facing elevation should be such that a flowering meadow can thrive under the plant.

The BA decision was controversial. From the point of view of the CSU parliamentary group, visual axes would be impaired, a green area would be scarce and the fresh air corridor narrowed. “Something like that can hardly be approved, we reject it completely,” said CSU spokeswoman Claudia Küng. Applicants should be encouraged to put photovoltaic panels on the roofs of their houses in the neighborhood rather than sacrificing open space for the purpose.
