Former MP Henri Jibrayel sentenced on appeal to two years in prison

According to information from France Blue Provencethe former Socialist MP elected in the northern districts of Marseille was sentenced by the Court of Appeal to 24 months in prison, including 15 months to be carried out under an electronic bracelet, five years of ineligibility and a fine of 40,000 euros.

The elected Marseille appeared in two separate cases for embezzlement of public funds, illegal taking of interest and breach of trust. On leaving the court, he announced his intention to appeal in cassation.
