Autumn will show its unstable side in the next few days. It can be stormy, with rain coming from the southwest.

Cool and uncomfortable autumnal weather is arriving in Germany. On the coasts it will be after the The forecast from the German Weather Service (DWD) is even very stormy. As the DWD in Offenbach announced, rainy weather is approaching from the southwest with Depression “Viktor”, which is spreading towards the north and will prevail in most parts of Germany on Thursday. Only the edge of the Alps and areas northeast of the Elbe are left out.

It will also be stormy in the north. On Friday, hurricane-like gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour are possible on the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea.

The temperatures had recently fallen below zero degrees Celsius. On Wednesday night it was down to minus three degrees. “Time to have the ice scrapers in the car ready again,” recommended DWD meteorologist Felix Dietzsch.

In the next few days, milder air will flow into Germany again. On the Rhine, the highs on Thursday could almost reach the 20 degree mark, although the weather will be unstable. Otherwise, according to the forecast, temperatures during the day will be up to 15 degrees Celsius. No further night frosts are expected at night.

There is no change in the weather in sight for the weekend – it will remain rainy with temperatures between 7 to 11 degrees in the north and 12 to 18 degrees in southeast Germany.
