Sunday and the new week are rather mixed. Summer temperatures are most likely to be expected in central Germany.

A return of the June heat keeps people in Germany spared in the next few days for the time being. “Slightly changeable and moderately warm to warm summer weather has set in in Germany,” wrote the German Weather Service (DWD) on Sunday. “That corresponds to the typical Central European summer weather.”

At the beginning of the new week, the DWD expects a clearly noticeable wind in the north, which will drive thick cumulus clouds and individual showers across the country. Otherwise it’s mostly friendly. With 20 to 26 degrees and a change from longer sunshine and cumulus clouds, it will be mostly dry on Monday.

According to the forecast, the risk of showers and thunderstorms will also increase somewhat in the south on Tuesday. There may be local heavy rain. It also remains very changeable in the north and north-west. In a wide strip in between, the risk of showers is very low and the sun has the upper hand. The temperatures hardly change.

For Wednesday, the DWD meteorologists are currently expecting heavy rain in some areas. Heavy showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain can also occur in the south and south-east. Very warm high-pressure weather is then indicated for the coming weekend.
