November continues to be uncomfortable, gray and rainy at the beginning of the week. In many areas, people are better off packing an umbrella.

The weather in Germany remains changeable and widespread rainy at the start of the new week. “It is quite mild, so the white surprise in the Alps and in some low mountain ranges will soon be history again,” said the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach on Sunday.

On Monday it will initially be dry in the northeast, otherwise widespread rain. Showers can also be expected in the west and central Germany from the evening onwards. In the southwest half it is somewhat milder with temperatures between 11 and 17 degrees. However, according to meteorologists, a fresh southwesterly wind with sometimes stormy gusts can be expected here. A weak to moderate wind is also expected to blow from the southeast in the north and east of the country.

On Tuesday there will be varying clouds and showers. According to the forecast, short thunderstorms are also possible. In the Alps and on the edge of the Alps the rain is so heavy that a lot of water is added. Accordingly, rising river levels are to be expected on the southern German rivers, but the levels on the Rhine are also expected to rise slowly, a DWD meteorologist said on Sunday. The maximum temperatures are between 6 degrees in Western Pomerania and 15 degrees on the Upper Rhine. According to the DWD, it will remain windy in the west and southwest, while there may be local stormy gusts in the north and center.

According to the DWD, the trend will continue on Wednesday. It is very cloudy, with occasional showers. The temperatures should be a maximum of 8 to 14 degrees. Moderate winds are expected from predominantly westerly directions, and there could be strong squalls at times, it said.
