Words that are cold in the back. “For sums like that, we eradicate families”: a chilling recording of July 2014 came to shed light on Thursday the quadruple murder, three years later, of the Troadec family, tried by the Loire-Atlantique Assize Court. Mentioned several times since the start of the trial, this recording of July 5, 2014, broadcast Thursday noon, features the main protagonists of the case: Hubert Caouissin, tried for the quadruple murder of his in-laws, and his co-accused and former companion Lydie Troadec, but also the brother of the latter Pascal Troadec and his companion Brigitte, and finally Renée Troadec, mother of Pascal and Lydie.
Hubert Caouissin is accused of having killed Brigitte and Pascal (49 years old) and their children Charlotte (18 years old) and Sébastien (21 years old) with doe kicks at their home in Orvault, near Nantes, on the night of February 16 to 17, 2017. From this July 5, 2014, the violence of the exchanges, the cries, give an idea of the tension which reigned, three years before the crimes, within the Troadec family. The family reunion was intended to evoke the “nest egg” of gold allegedly stolen by Pascal from his mother Renée, but of which no one has ever seen the trace. “I believe that I have the right to half of what you took”, launches Renée to Pascal and Brigitte, in a tense atmosphere from the outset. “Mom, what did you get stung?” », Answers his son, taken aback. “Either you have nothing to do with it and you have nothing to fear. Either you have something to reproach yourself with and then too bad for you, ”says Hubert Caouissin.

The tone rises very quickly, Pascal criticizing in a very virulent manner Hubert and Lydie for treating them as “thieves”. “Why are you getting angry if you have nothing to reproach yourself with?” Lydie asks him.
