“For fun”, two teenagers fired a hundred bullets at the drivers, injuring one of them

Two of the three teenagers placed in police custody for having fired “for fun” at vehicles, are being prosecuted for damage to the property of others by dangerous means and intentional violence with a weapon. “The children’s judge has placed them under judicial control and who will rule on their guilt on March 10”, evokes the public prosecutor of Béziers, Raphaël Balland.

The two teenagers, aged 13 and 14, reportedly explained in police custody that they had fired a hundred bullets at motorists passing near the home of one of them, in Cap d’Agde. The 13-year-old explained that he acted “for fun”. He used the .22 long rifle belonging to his brother. The weapon was “equipped not only with a telescope but also with a silencer”, specifies the prosecutor.

Thirteen complaints filed

They are prohibited from leaving their homes between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. They also have the obligation to respond to summonses from youth judicial protection educators. The third minor placed in police custody, aged 17, was released at the end of his police custody. He did not shoot or bring any ammunition. Thirteen people, including the injured motorist, filed a complaint after noticing impacts on the bodywork of their vehicle on Friday and Sunday.
