Super Bowl: Kelce’s tears, Swift’s parking lot, Usher’s performance

Taylor Swift could easily afford a VIP seat at the center line for $100,000 for the Super Bowl. But the girlfriend of Chiefs star Travis Kelce has a real rich people problem.
What does Taylor Swift do?
This question will probably remain open for a long time. Theoretically it would be possible for Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s girlfriend to attend the Super Bowl despite a concert in Tokyo about 24 hours beforehand. The Japanese embassy in the USA specifically assured this.
However, there is a problem that could leave some ordinary people bewildered. Swift can’t find a place to park her plane. All 475 aircraft parking spaces at the four airports in the immediate vicinity of Las Vegas have already been booked due to the Super Bowl.
Where is the game being played – and who is showing it?
The Vince Lombardi Trophy will be played for the first time in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which was completed in 2020 and cost around 1.7 billion euros. During normal league operations, the arena, which can accommodate 65,000 fans, is the home of the Las Vegas Raiders, with whom Jakob Johnson from Stuttgart is under contract.
In Germany, RTL will broadcast the Super Bowl on traditional television from 11:15 p.m. The game, which starts at 12:30 a.m., can also be followed via stream on the paid TV provider DAZN.
Who is the favorite?
Due to their experience and playoff performance, the Chiefs go into the game as favorites. The team led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes has won the Super Bowl twice in the past four years. The 49ers have been waiting for the championship for almost 30 years, and their performance, especially on defense, has not yet been ready for a title.
Who are the key players?
Of course, the Chiefs’ focus is on quarterback Mahomes and tight end Kelce. The latter had an outstanding day in the semifinals against the Baltimore Ravens; the hype surrounding him and his girlfriend Taylor Swift does not affect the quality of the sport.
The 49ers are also outstanding offensively; running back Christian McCaffrey and tight end George Kittle are difficult for any defense to control. At the quarterback position, however, Brock Purdy does not reach Mahomes’ level.
Who sings the anthem?
Country star Chris Stapleton’s performance brought tears to the eyes of coaches and players – including Travis Kelce – last year. The bar is correspondingly high for Reba McEntire. The 68-year-old “Queen of Country” sings “The Star-Spangled Banner” this year. Before that, Post Malone will perform “America The Beautiful.”
What happens in the halftime show?
Rihanna is followed by Usher. With the R&B singer, the style of music remains virtually unchanged from last year. By the way, the stars don’t get paid to appear in the halftime show. The worldwide attention that comes with the show is enough for them. Rihanna also used her appearance last year to let the world know that she was pregnant. Let’s see if everything stays professional for Usher.
How much does a commercial cost?
The Super Bowl is also an annual highlight for the advertising industry. Spots are produced specifically for the event. But the broadcast is not cheap. Around seven million dollars are due for 30 seconds. At least the price remained stable compared to the previous year.
Ticket, parking space, beer: How much does it cost the fan on site?
Of course the game has long been sold out. To buy another ticket on the secondary market, you need about $10,000. Since Las Vegas has around 150,000 hotel rooms, the prices are not that exorbitant. However, you should plan on paying $900 per night. You can park at the stadium for just $100. A pint of beer costs around $20, a hot dog around $13.
