Wout Weghorst

Weghorst helps out on the defensive, commits a tactical foul against Camara a good 30 meters from his own goal. But the Dutchman sees the first yellow card of today’s encounter.

26th minuteSalzburg’s Seiwald initially asserted himself strongly to the left in the penalty area, passing the ball to the near post just before the goal line. None of his team-mates are there, only Wolfsburg’s goalkeeper Casteels.

11th minuteA good ten minutes have been played in the game between Wolfsburg and Salzburg, the hosts lead 1-0 with a goal from Baku. But Salzburg didn’t need long to recover from the goal they conceded, the Mozartstadters are already starting again with all their might.

9th minuteAgain Sucic is in the spotlight, this time with a free kick for Salzburg from the right of the penalty area. He shoots the ball directly into the wall, which deflects the leather into the goal. So there is at least one corner for the Austrian series champion.

7th minuteSalzburg’s Sucic pulls volley from around 25 meters. The shot of the Croatian U21 national player goes just over the gate to the left.

5th minuteAfter Salzburg took the lead early in their home game against Wolfsburg, VfL now succeeds in doing just that in the second leg.

The Wolfsburg come on the left side of the penalty area over Gerhardt to the baseline and he then passes the ball across the long post. Baku rushes up there and pushes the ball into the right corner from about six meters to make it 1-0 for the hosts.

2nd minuteSalzburg are about to have a great chance. Okafor served Adeyemi in the penalty area with a deep pass. The German national player in the ranks of Salzburg is just disturbed by Arnold at the end and so Adeyemi pushes the leather from about eight or nine meters to the left of the gate.
