follow the second ceremony dedicated to “popular cultures”

Yard and Booska-P media, creators of the Flames ceremony

Les Flammes were born from the association of Yard, a media and communications agency of which Tom Brunet is co-founder, with Booska-P, another media outlet, of which Amadou Ba is a co-founder. Spotify, the leading music streaming platform, has been associated with the event from the start.

Since 2014, the media Yard positions itself as “amplifier of new popular cultures”, by offering journalistic content, but also by organizing cultural events in Paris. For Tom Brunet, “the work is not at all finished” : “we want to perpetuate the Flames, this second edition is super important”he told Agence France-Presse.

For its part, the history of Booska-P dates back to 2005. Passionate about rap, the three founders (Fif, Alexis and Amadou) decided to create a website to bring together “short films and video content filmed during music video shoots or radio freestyles, for artistic purposes. » Over the years, the medium has become a true reference for rap artists and consumers.

On February 17, 2022, Tom Brunet and Amadou Ba announced the creation of Les Flammes on the Booska-P media website, describing the event as “the ceremony of popular cultures”.

“We would never have done it alone, so we are proud of this association (…). It is important for us to send the message that this is a collective project which will involve the entire industry and the entire public”said the co-founder of Yard, in an interview with the site Rap Sales.
