In 2024 there will be new “Feste” shows with presenter Florian Silbereisen. The fans were previously worried.

Fans of the shows of Florian Silbereisen (42) can breathe a sigh of relief: The MDR broadcasting council has approved a contract extension for the presenter’s “Festival” shows on Erste for next year. This means that five new “festivals” with the showmaster for Das Erste and the ARD Mediathek will be produced on behalf of Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, MDR announced: At its meeting today (December 4, 2023), the Broadcasting Council “agreed to a one-year contract extension of the cooperation until December 31st .2024 approved for First German Television,” it says.

“Schlagerchampions” with Florian Silbereisen is already running in January

Viewers don’t have to wait long until the next Silbereisen highlight. The first live show “Schlagerchampions” will come from Berlin on January 13, 2024, MDR also announced.

There had recently been a few headlines surrounding the contract. But now Klaus Brink Bäumer, MDR program director, is happy: “The festivals with Florian Silbereisen are innovative and have managed to attract many new viewers and retain their loyal fans at the same time.” The “festivals” have become “a real multi-generational program and Florian Silbereisen has become a host who builds bridges between people with his shows.” We are pleased about the approval of the MDR Broadcasting Council and the continuation of the cooperation. “And it’s not just the audience of the first and the media library that can expect great entertainment: we will also subsequently broadcast all shows in our popular third program.”

Silbereisen welcomes the stars

It was only on Saturday evening (December 2nd) that Florian Silbereisen invited people to his “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” for the 20th time on Erste. In addition to German greats such as Barbara Schöneberger (49), Thomas Anders (60), Andrea Berg (57) and Roland Kaiser (71), the French world star Mireille Mathieu (77) was also a guest.
