Florian Philippot’s car flashed at more than 170 km / h on Highway 4

He seemed in a hurry to go to the polls. Florian Philippot’s vehicle was checked at more than 170 km / h on the A4 motorway this Sunday, according to our colleagues from the Parisian.

The president of the Patriots was caught speeding around 11 a.m. on his way to Forbach (Moselle), the town where he will run for the legislative elections next June. The driver of the future candidate’s vehicle was flashed at a speed of between 170 and 180 km/h.

A “misadventure”

According to our colleagues, the chosen one was held for ten minutes at the rest area in Vrigny (Marne). The car was immediately detained from the command post.

Contacted by the newspaper, Florian Philippot indicated that he was indeed going to Forbach to vote, in a vehicle driven by a “friend”. Le Patriote also clarified that he had fallen asleep in the car and admitted that driving at 170 km/h “is not good”. The future candidate, however, managed to vote. “Nothing can prevent me from going to vote against Macron,” he explains.

Not a driver’s license holder, the former representative of the National Rally also said to have been accompanied by the gendarmes at the nearest station. Information that the gendarmerie has not confirmed.
