The Academy of Fine Arts Munich (AdBK) has appointed Florian Hecker as a top professor until 2028. Hecker, an internationally known sound artist and sound specialist, will support the academy in the area of digital media and performance art.
His work has been exhibited at Documenta 13, the Venice Biennale and in museums such as MoMA, the Tate and the Center Pompidou, among others. The AdBK is supported by the Hightech Agenda Bavaria’s top professorship program. This is intended to promote outstanding personalities and create optimal conditions for top researchers from home and abroad who work at Bavarian universities.
