As a professor for hydromechanics, hydrodynamic modeling and flood risk management, Daniel Bachmann conducts research at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. In the BWK (Association of Engineers for Water Management, Waste Management and Cultivation) he tries to improve the dialogue between research and practice. The conversation takes place on the phone. While the terrible images from the west of the country reach him, it is currently rather dry in Magdeburg.
