The Lufthansa boss had already made advances: he feared that he would have to apologize to the passengers several times in the summer, said Carsten Spohr recently. At the beginning of the Easter holidays, the airline had canceled more than 100 flights at Frankfurt Airport out of concern that the handling and security staff could no longer cope with the rush. There were still long queues – not only in Frankfurt. And for the holiday month of July, Lufthansa is now even taking 900 flights out of the system, as was announced on Wednesday. Domestic and European connections at weekends at Frankfurt and Munich airports are affected. Eurowings is also canceling hundreds of flights for July.
