For Ukrainian refugees who have come to the district with their pets, they first have to say goodbye after their arrival. At the central arrival point in Maisach, the pets will be quarantined for ten days in accordance with EU law and will be examined for rabies by a veterinarian within 72 hours. These animals are taken in by animal shelters such as the Brucker Land animal friends. It is very difficult for the owners and animals to say goodbye after the strenuous journey, but the joy of seeing them again is all the greater.
