Flat share terror at the Akademietheater Ost – Munich

In Felicia Zeller’s play “I, your big analog brother, his fucking cat and you” at the Akademietheater Ost, a shared apartment is transformed into a surveillance state that is similar to the mechanisms of the Internet.

Actually, no one knows exactly who this Alec is, who one day moves into the pastel-colored shared apartment unannounced and showers the members with his attention. Like someone’s big brother? Based on the surveillance authority “Big Brother” from George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984”, Alec moves largely invisibly through the landscape of colorful shower curtains and carpets. However, it still has a huge impact: without the residents noticing, it establishes a system of mutual control and mistrust in the shared apartment.
