3:54 p.m. : A pilot error is at the origin of the helicopter accident in Brovary, learned the media Politika Strana (article in Ukrainian), citing sources inside the Ministry of the Interior. According to preliminary data from the investigation, the pilot was flying too close to the ground, in thick fog, and would have seen a building too late. This route had been chosen for fear of a possible missile attack, fired from Belarus. A total of 14 people died, including the Ukrainian interior minister and two deputies, and 25 were injured.

This procedure is aimed at Colonel Oleg Tymoshin, commander of the 52nd aviation regiment. The Ministry of Defense explains in a press release that Vyacheslav Shapovalov was responsible for the rear support of the armed forces, and that he asked to be removed from his post.
