At least since the advent of the musical church pop, pop and church have been going together. Now bicycle lanes and the church share a common phenomenon – that of “pop up” in German: “des Aufploppens”. Suddenly there, but not necessarily permanently. At first that sounds very contrary to what actually characterizes churches: an old building that has been in place for centuries. Bavaria’s first “temporary church” has now set up in a shop in Landshuter Neustadt. In the front a vintage shop with clothes and records, in the back a prayer room.
