First folk festival opened after the Corona break – Bavaria

After a two-year Corona break, the first major folk festival in Bavaria opened on Saturday: At the spring folk festival in Würzburg, Mayor Christian Schuchardt pricked the first beer barrel to the cheers of the visitors in the marquee. Guest of honor was Prime Minister Markus Söder, who then rode a lap of the Ferris wheel. As in large parts of Bavaria, there was bright sunshine in Würzburg at the weekend, and thousands of visitors took the opportunity to visit the folk festival for the first time in a long time. Of course, it is not yet possible without pandemic-related restrictions. Anyone who wants to go to the marquee in Würzburg must observe the applicable 3G regulation and wear a mask. In the open air none of this is necessary. The Würzburg Spring Folk Festival lasts until April 10th.
