For the first time since the sudden death of her mother Lisa Marie Presley, Riley Keough has attended a gala event.

Actress Riley Keough (33) walked the red carpet for the first time since the death of her mother Lisa Marie Presley (1968-2023). In Los Angeles she appeared together with her husband Ben Smith-Petersen for the premiere of their new project “Daisy Jones & the Six”, a series adaptation of the book of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid (39).

For the special occasion, Keough chose an elegant ensemble with which she apparently also wanted to express the grief for her late mother: she posed for the photographers on the red carpet in all black. She combined a matching sequin skirt with a low-cut bustier, and she also chose black for her pointed stilettos and elbow-length gloves. However, the actress set color accents with gold-inlaid emerald earrings in XXL format.

Career success and private grief

Keough will play the titular character Daisy Jones in the miniseries, which is being produced by Amazon. Set in the 1970s, “Daisy Jones & the Six” tells the story of a musical group that rose to international fame. Author Taylor Jenkins Reid based her book on her own experiences with the Fleetwood Mac band.

In addition to Keough, “The Hunger Games” star Sam Claflin (36) and “The Bad Batch” actress Suki Waterhouse (31) also play. The mini-series will be available to watch via Amazon Prime Video from March 3rd.

Lisa Marie Presley, who died unexpectedly in mid-January, would have turned 55 on February 1 of this year. The exact cause of death is still unclear. On January 22nd, the funeral service in honor of the only child shared by Priscilla Presley (77) and rock ‘n’ roll icon Elvis Presley (1935-1977) took place at the famous family home Graceland in Memphis.
