Fire in Berlin: Fire brigade warns of toxic smoke gases
A fire breaks out in a metal technology company in Berlin-Lichterfelde. The fire department warns.
A technical room on the first floor of a factory building was burning “to its full extent,” as a fire department spokesman said this morning. Chemicals are stored in the metal technology company. As a precautionary measure, the fire department issued a hazard warning. Residents are asked to keep windows and doors closed. There is increasing smoke development. A result of the air pollution control was not yet available.
There were no injuries, said the spokesman. All people could have left the place independently. There are now 160 firefighters on site, including special forces.
