According to estimates by the fire department, a fire in Obergiesing on Thursday evening caused damage in the six-digit euro range. Around 10:45 p.m., the police emergency call was informed about a fire in a backyard on Zugspitzstrasse. In fact, the emergency services found a wooden shed in full fire there, the flames had already spread to an adjacent building.
The extinguishing work was difficult because there were several gas bottles in the woodshed that first had to be cooled and recovered. All residents of the neighboring building were taken to a fire brigade assembly point. They were able to return to their homes after the fire was extinguished and the house cleared of smoke. The cause of the fire has not yet been clarified. People were not harmed.
