A fire broke out in the secretariat of a school in Darmstadt on Friday morning. It currently looks like arson, said a police spokesman. Apparently strangers got into the building, started the fire and “ran away again,” it said.

The extent of the damage is so far unknown

According to initial information, other rooms are not affected. The fire brigade was on site that morning. According to the police, a cleaner noticed the fire and alerted the emergency services. At first it was not known how badly the secretariat was damaged.
