Finally, Michel Drucker no longer wants to retire in 2025

“I want to die on stage, in front of the spotlight,” sang Dalida, no doubt on a Michel Drucker show. The television host, 81, announced in an interview with Tele-Leisure that he ultimately no longer wishes to retire. In the summer of 2023, after numerous health problems, notably with a second open heart operation, he declared that 2025 would be a good year to stop. But Michel Drucker, after sixty years of career, sees himself continuing beyond that.

” That’s no longer news. Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez (number 2 at France Télévisions, Editor’s note) told me that as long as I felt like I was doing my job and the public was loyal to me, I had to continue. Out of nearly 60 years of career, I have spent 55 in public service. Passion does not tire. I speak to all generations and when Julien Doré or Bigflo & Oli call on me for their clips, I don’t have the impression that people see me as old”

Michel Drucker will continue Roll on Sunday, now on France 3. But its big event of the year is for the summer with the Paris Olympic Games. He must be at the head of a daily program during the event, after the end of the events, in the second part of the evening, with Léa Salamé, on France 2.
