Film tip: the French comedy “Black Friday For Future” – Munich

Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano captured the hearts of audiences in 2011 with the global hit “Pretty Best Friends”. Now the French duo’s latest comedy is coming to German cinemas: In “Black Friday For Future” (Original: Une année difficile), the Black Friday bargain hunters Albert and Bruno (Pio Marmaï and Jonathan Cohen) meet a group of Fridays- For Future activists.

“If you want to talk about social justice and have a drink, feel free to come over,” a member invites the two men to a bar. Because the two are heavily in debt, they don’t miss the offer of free beer. Shortly afterwards they listen to two activists: “We had the very simple idea of starting a clean-up campaign. People are giving away a lot of valuable things.” Albert and Bruno smell money. They also like the leader Cactus. The two men storm fashion shows, take part in demonstrations and protest in briefs. But their double standards seem to be exposed.
