Film: Three art collectors in conversation – Munich

For some people it’s enough to marvel at them when they visit a museum, for others they hang them decoratively on the wall above the dining table and for others they have huge collections in their basement. Whether out of passion, a desire for prestige or as an investment – art collectors are looking for eminent treasures that expand their private, select range.

The film “The Collectors and Their Passion” provides an insight into the private world of art lovers Duke Franz of Bavaria, Ingvild Goetz and Heinz Berggruen and reveals the reasons for their intrinsic fascination. The film by the Franco-Munich director Jacqueline Kaess-Farquet will be presented on October 20th at the Palais Seyssel d’Aix of the Institut Français. On site: Duke Franz of Bavaria, whose collection of modern art formed the foundation for the Pinakothek der Moderne.

The collectors and their passion: October 20th, 7 p.m., Palais Seyssel d’Aix, Institut Français, Kaulbachstraße 13
