Fillon Maillet wants even more, Ledeux for the gold medal… The program for Tuesday, February 15

Tuesday February 15 – Day 11

The French of the day

The biathlon GOAT is already back. After his two gold medals and two silver ones, Quentin Fillon Maillet is back on the track, this time with the relay buddies, who are having a fairly passable Olympics. We are therefore counting on our locomotive to push Emilien Jacquelin, Simon Desthieux and Fabien Claude and get another medal. Another chance to bring back a small (or big) charm: Tess Ledeux, who will take part in the slopestyle final and will have an opportunity to take her revenge on Eileen Gu, who had stolen gold from her in the big air. It will be more complicated to bring back a podium for the downhill riders Romane Miradoli, Tiffany Gauthier, Laura Gauché and Camille Cerutti. But, on a misunderstanding, or a big performance, like Johan Clarey, we will believe it. Also to follow, the tricolors of the Nordic combined in the large hill: Gaël Blondeau, Mattéo Baud and Antoine Gérard.

The star of the day

We are big fans around here of Sofia Goffia, who will take part in the descent tomorrow morning. Especially since the Italian was not due to participate in these Olympics, because of a partial injury to the cruciate ligament and a small fracture of the fibula of the left leg less than three weeks ago. Twelfth in training two days ago, Goggia can still claim a medal. And, to motivate her, promise her to win a calf if she wins the downhill, as in Val-d’Isère. Already a double winner of the French event, she brought two French calves back to her domain. And Goggia is thinking big, as she plans to open a creamery.

Article of the day

Let’s not sulk our pleasure and come back to the ultra-deserved title of our duo Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, crowned Olympic champion on Monday in ice dancing, four years after the immense disappointment of the Olympic Games in South Korea.
