The pair skaters Minerva Hase / Nolan Seegert did not experience the optimal day in the short program of the European Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn. Two years after finishing fifth in the European Championship, the Olympia-nominated duo from Berlin will go back to fifth place in the freestyle decision on Thursday after falling in the triple litter Salchow. Annika Hocke / Robert Kunkel from Berlin also fell and came in 13th place for the time being. Outstanding were the Russian couples: the top were the world champions Anastasia Mishina / Aleksandr Gallimow ahead of the two-time European champions Evgenia Tarasowa / Vladimir Morozov and Aleksandra Boikowa / Dimitri Koslowski. The four-time German champion Paul Fentz, 29, had a good, but not a perfect start with eleventh place. The only 18-year-old junior world champion Andrei Mosalev from Russia took the lead.
