Fielmann founder dies at the age of 84 – Economy

The entrepreneur Günther Fielmann is dead. The founder of the optician chain of the same name died on January 3rd at the age of 84 in his home town of Lütjensee in Schleswig-Holstein, as the company announced on Friday.

Günther Fielmann opened the first store of the later chain in Cuxhaven in 1972 and over the course of more than 45 years built the company into the leading optician in Germany.
