Fewer failures in face-to-face classes – Bavaria

The number of Bavarian schoolchildren who miss face-to-face classes due to Corona has fallen significantly. As of Friday, it was 3.48 percent of the approximately 1.6 million students, as the Ministry of Education announced when asked. This corresponds to around 56,000 children and young people who were unable to attend classes. A week ago it was more than 70,000 or 4.44 percent.

Specifically, 2.53 percent of the students were recently unable to attend classes due to a positive corona test. Another 0.95 percent were in quarantine. The situation has also eased somewhat in childcare facilities. As of Friday, according to the Ministry of Social Affairs, 2.2 percent of the approximately 10,300 facilities in Bavaria were affected by closures due to Corona. A week ago it was 3.12 percent. 19 houses were completely closed on Friday, another 209 partially. There were also intensified tests after corona cases at 771 daycare centers. This was also a slight decline.
