Foo Fighters will perform at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival 2024

Next year around 130,000 visitors are expected again at the festival near the Danish capital Copenhagen. Now the organizers have received another prominent confirmation.
The Roskilde Festival has the US rock band Foo Fighters signed up for a gig next summer. The band will give its only concert of the year in Scandinavia on July 5, 2024 in Roskilde, the organizers announced on Tuesday. “The Foo Fighters are a band that is continually evolving,” said program director Anders Wahrén.
The Foo Fighters released their eleventh studio album “But Here We Are” in June, in which singer Dave Grohl and his colleagues dealt with personal tragedies. Critics celebrated it as powerful and life-affirming.
The Roskilde Festival, founded in 1971 around 20 kilometers west of the Danish capital Copenhagen, has become a community experience with music and art for generations of young people. In 2024 it runs from June 29th to July 6th and expects around 130,000 visitors. The proceeds are donated to humanitarian, charitable and cultural work for the benefit of children and young people.
