The series “Ferdinand von Schirach – Faith”, which can be seen on the streaming platform RTLplus from November 4th, is based on a true story. The lawyer and writer von Schirach wrote the script for this seven-piece, which is based on the Worms abuse trials from the 1990s. At that time it was one of the biggest judicial scandals in the Federal Republic.
The real template was fictionalized in “belief” and transported into the present. Which adds a new facet to the cause: In his campaign against a suspected child molester ring, the public prosecutor appears as a representative of public opinion, which creates a powerful mood against the accused on social media. The lawyer Schlesinger (Peter Kurth) defends one of the accused – and is attacked for it.
All seven episodes of “Ferdinand von Schirach – Faith” will be available on RTLplus from November 4th.
