Feldkirchen: Performances by the theater association – district of Munich

Everything was ready for the premiere, but a few days earlier the plans of the Feldkirchner Theaterverein were thwarted: when the number of corona cases rose sharply in March 2020, it was decided to cancel all performances of the season. Three years later, the amateur actors and director Winfried Frey can now present their long-rehearsed play “Die Maibaumwache” to the public.

The comedy takes place in the countryside in the 1920s, where two rival districts have come up with an idiosyncratic rule: whoever has the longest maypole may nominate the joint mayor. In a total of seven performances, viewers can experience the tricks that the participants use to decide this special choice in their favour. The premiere is on Saturday, March 4th, at 8 p.m. in the hall of the evangelical child and youth welfare service, Hohenlindner Straße 8.

There will be performances on the weekends until Saturday, March 18th, the exact dates can be found on the Internet at www.theater-feldkirchen.de. Tickets are available online there, as well as by telephone daily from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on 0170/44 14 186 and at Flaschen Haußmann, Aschheimer Straße 11. Remaining tickets are available at the box office.
