Diem is chairwoman of the FDP local association in Feldkirchen, which was founded six months ago. Now the engineer and mother of two is aiming for a direct candidacy in the constituency Munich-Land Nord. “With my personal life situation, I stand for the many young families in the district in the area of tension between work, family and education,” she said at the meeting. “I would particularly like to campaign for better financing and more flexible opening hours in childcare. Schools must leave well-trodden paths and innovative teaching approaches must be made possible,” Diem is quoted as saying in the statement from her local association, who is enthusiastic about the candidacy .
